Dreamer Spotlight – Candy Dean

Interview with Candy Dean

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Candy Candy who is relatively new to the Dreaming Tree family. Candy got bitten by the ‘bug’ when she saw the Beautiful Balloon SVG that someone posted in one of her favorite paper company’s Facebook Group, Graphic 45. Since then she has completed over 60 Dreaming Tree projects! Candy is not new to crafting, she has been making scrapbook pages and albums and is quite the artist when it comes to her polymer clay jewelry, pens and dragons! ~Mike

Where are you from?

I am currently living in Shawnee, Kansas which is slightly southwest of Kansas City.

How did you get into paper crafting?

I fell in love with some of the scrapbooks and fancy albums I’d seen on the internet, and decided I wanted to try it. That was maybe 2 1/2 years ago.

How long have you been a Dreamer and how did you find us?

Since September 2020 and it was through a post I saw on the Graphic 45 Facebook Page. Someone posted the Beautiful Balloon SVG project and I fell in love with it.

Which cutting machine do you own?

Brother Scan N Cut.

How many Dreaming Tree Projects have you completed?

As of now over 60 with some being made multiple times such as the Winterland Castle, Midnight Manor and the Tissue Box Cover. Most of these were made over into Christmas projects.

What are your other hobbies?

In addition to Dreaming Tree projects, scrapbook albums and pages as well as making jewelry, ink pens and dragons from polymer clay.

What is your favorite paper company?

Graphic 45, Stamperia which can be found on Etsy and printing out digital paper found online.

What other information would you like to share with the Dreamers?

You can do it!

It was awesome talking with Candy and below are photos from her scrapbooking and gorgeous polymer clay creations! ~Mike
