I did the starfish one as a project with my 11 year old granddaughter. She has a sea themed room. It turned out beautiful and she loves it! The tutorial is perfect. Not too long and no step goes un-mentioned when it comes to assembly.
However, as far as cutting, I am a newbie and this is my first time working with Dreaming Tree files. It was a little confusing at first to see the separate mats with only cut lines . I couldn't figure out where they were coming from or what they were for. Then I figured out I needed to "attach" to the other color on the mat. (There were 2 layers) Example: on a Cricut, with the shrimp colored, raised part of the starfish, when you click "make it" you end up with 2 mats. One white mat with cut lines and the other shrimp color mat with the actual paper cut parts. When you attach them, it all goes to one mat. Newbie issue I'm sure but I thought it was worth mentioning for Cricut users who are used to files coming already attached. All in all. I LOVE these designs and projects. I'm looking forward to making the seashell with her next.
