Sure Cuts A Lot 5 Bridge Warp Tool – Curving Text

Text manipulation is one of Sure Cuts A Lots’ premiere features. Not only is it intuitive, but it’s much easier than programs like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape. For my Cricut users out there, Sure Cuts A Lot is wonderful because you can use it offline and not have to worry about losing your work if your internet cuts out. I created this video based on a question I saw in one of the Cricut Facebook groups.

In this video I cover the following topics:

  • Bridge Warp Tool (Curving Text)
  • Type Tool
  • Fonts Section of My Library
  • Resizing and Resizing using Shift Key
  • Rotating Elements
  • Exporting SVG Files (Design Space Compatible)
  • Importing SVG Files into Cricut Design Space

Hi, Rodi! Sure Cuts A Lot is compatible with the newer machines such as a Cricut Explore and Maker, unfortunately it is not compatible with the Expression. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. ~Mike

Thank you. My husband bought me the software in November and I haven’t got to grips with it. This is a great 😣

Wow! I think I know what I’m asking DH to get me for Christmas. Great tutorial; you made it look very easy to use. Way beyond the current capabilities of BSNC Canvas.

I have Sure Cuts A Lot 2 to use with Cricut Expressions but I need to update my cutting machine. If I purchase the Cricut Explore and upgrade to Sure Cuts A Lot 5 does the cutting machine work with this software the same way?

    • Mike says:

Hi, Cindy. Sure Cuts A Lot 2 is the last 3rd party software that would directly connect to an older Cricut Machine. Because Cricut no longer allows 3rd party software companies to direct connect to their machines, and Cricut uses Design Space, you would need to export your file from Sure Cuts a Lot 5 and upload to Design Space for cutting. Hope this helps.

I am trying to find a software to make svg for use with my Cricut Maker. I can’t decide if I should go with silhouette business or Sure adults A Lot…help in deciding appreciated.
I would love a program that can also convert files somehow…posterize photos and turn them into svg.
